I’m the creator, writer, and voice behind CharmVows. I started this blog because I lived through the beautiful, overwhelming, and sometimes chaotic world of wedding planning — and I came out the other side wishing someone had just told me what to actually expect.

My wedding day was one of the most meaningful moments of my life. But getting there? That was a whole journey. I spent months buried in spreadsheets, Pinterest boards, and vendor emails — often feeling more stressed than excited. I kept thinking: why is this so hard to figure out? Why isn’t there one place that gives you honest, practical guidance without making you feel like you need an unlimited budget or a Hollywood film crew?

That frustration became the spark for CharmVows. I wanted to create the resource I wish I’d had — a place built on real experience, honest advice, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from actually planning a wedding yourself.

Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of time researching, experimenting, and gathering insight from my own experience and from countless conversations with other couples who’ve been through it. Most of what I know didn’t come from a textbook — it came from real decisions, real mistakes, and real moments that taught me something valuable.

Beyond the blog, I’m someone who genuinely finds joy in the small, meaningful things — the handwritten note tucked into a gift, the dinner table set with mismatched candles, the Saturday morning when there’s nowhere to be.

I believe that love deserves to be celebrated thoughtfully. Not extravagantly — thoughtfully. There’s a big difference, and I think that difference shows up in the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended or read about.
